with ferrous metals, flash rusting is always
an issue. High humidity in foundries can
result in flash rusting which is why Foundry
Corrosion Inhibitors are required. As with
many applications, aqueous systems have been
preferred for both health and safety
reasons.

provide ferrous corrosion inhibition,
exceptionally good wetting and hard water
compatibility.

applications with excellent results for both
short term and long term storage.
FoundryGeneral® Rust Inhibitor 2999 is a water soluble corrosion inhibitor that can be used in conjunction with FoundryGeneral® Foundry Cleaner 2988 and FoundryGeneral® Foundry Cleaner 4950.
FoundryGeneral® Rust Inhibitor 4288 is a concentrated water soluble corrosion inhibitor that provides both humidity cabinet and Cast Iron Chip Test (IP287) protection.
